Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Dabble Me (the “Service”), operated by Dabble Dev LLC (“Dabble,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Who We Are

Dabble Me is a private journaling service. The core promise is simple: your journal is yours, and the Service exists to help you store and access it.

Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree with the Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect the Service, users, or the public, or if you materially violate these Terms.

Your Content and Ownership

You own the content you create, upload, or store in the Service, including journal entries, images, and attachments (“Your Content”). These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to Dabble.

Our Limited License to Host Your Content

To provide the Service, you grant Dabble a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, back up, reproduce (solely for these purposes), transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the Service in a manner consistent with these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and to provide features you enable. This license exists only for as long as your content is stored in the Service and ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, subject to typical backup retention and legal obligations.

What We Will Not Do With Your Content

We do not sell Your Content. We do not use Your Content to build advertising profiles. We do not share Your Content with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Content Rules and Acceptable Use

You are responsible for all content you create or upload to the Service. You agree that Your Content and your use of the Service will comply with applicable laws and these Terms.

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or store malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
  • Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
  • Engage in unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent activity
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the security or operation of the Service

The Service is intended for personal journaling and reflection. Content generated or stored in the Service is not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice, and use of the Service does not create an attorney-client or other professional relationship.

Confidentiality of Private Journals

We treat private journal entries as private by design. Private content is accessed only as needed with your consent for specific support requests, to address security or abuse, or to comply with the law. Extreme care is taken to limit internal access, and the service is built with transparency and security in mind.

Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (for example, email delivery and payment processing). When we use third-party services, we share only the minimum information required for them to provide their functionality. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

Payments, Subscriptions, and Billing

If you purchase a subscription, you agree to pay the fees shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time through your account billing settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at purchase.

Payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full payment card details.

Refunds

If you believe you deserve a refund, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. Refunds, if any, are granted at our discretion unless required by law.

Data Export and Deletion

We aim to make it practical to export your data on the Settings page. If you close your account, Your Content will be deleted from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention and legal requirements.

Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep the Service available, but it may be interrupted, including for maintenance, outages, or events outside our control. Features may change over time, including adding, modifying, or removing functionality.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, internet or hosting failures, labor disputes, or government actions.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Your Content and account information. No system is perfectly secure, and you accept that risk when using online services.

Intellectual Property of the Service

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Dabble or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended, subject to these Terms.

AI Features (Opt-In Private Beta)

Certain AI-powered features may be offered as an optional, opt-in private beta (“AI Features”). AI Features are off by default. If you enable AI Features, you instruct us to process the specific content you submit to those features to produce the requested output.

We do not use Your Content to train or improve general-purpose machine learning models. If we use third-party AI providers to deliver AI Features, we will require them (by contract or applicable provider terms) to process data only to provide the feature and not to use it to train their general models, to the extent such controls are available.

AI Features may produce incorrect or incomplete output. You are responsible for how you use AI output. Do not rely on AI output as professional advice.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or to protect the Service or others. If your account is terminated, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

Company Changes, Including Acquisition

If Dabble is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We do not sell user journals as assets, and any transfer would be solely to continue operating the Service. Any successor entity would remain bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy, including ownership of Your Content and restrictions on use, unless the law requires a different outcome.

As of the Effective Date, Dabble Me is independently owned and operated.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied, and statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dabble and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dabble’s total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Dabble for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dabble and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

DMCA Copyright Notice

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with: your signature; identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is located; your contact information; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the Service or by email. The updated Terms will be effective when posted (or on a later date if stated). By continuing to use the Service after the effective date, you agree to the updated Terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Dabble regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on this subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

We welcome any comment, question and communication at [email protected].

If you send feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it without compensation to operate, maintain, and improve the Service in a manner consistent with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
